Hello, this option will be back in 13.0.30 for both the MixConsole and left channel zone.

Hello Fabio.
Thank you. This is very good news. Great work!

There’s 16 rather than 8 plugin slots because that was a popular user request a few years back.

That was also when this condensed view was added.

a) is fixed - great.
b) Fixed number of slots - we are still waiting right?

Wow - can’t believe they just got rid of that option. First thing I’d do in any template is to make sure Fixed number of slots was enables. I like to have it all visible from the beginning and then fill it in as I go. Reaper always annoyed me for this reason. Strange to take away the option.

Exactly.

Steinberg’s programming and releases over the years make it seem that unfortunately it’s like a cultural addiction or compulsion for them to break things that no one complained needing fixing in the first place. Thus the bug list gets longer, completely avoidably.

So frustrating - why, why, why??

And, in the few instances they backtrack and reintroduce the original feature, it’s sometimes 1984’d as a brilliant new innovation. #eyeroll

All this wasting dev time that could have been spent moving Cubase forward.

It really does seem like it’s baked into the Steinberg dev culture, unfortunately. Not gonna change, ever, is my feeling.

Hi Fabio,
Has this option been added back in? I can’t seem to find it.

Yes it has. Just right click on insert tab and you will find an option there

It’s indeed back in, as Twenswend wrote - the option is available via right-click in the whole Insert area (also slots and insert slots panel), though the menu is reduced when right-clicking directly on the slots.
