Cubase 13 - I can't assign key command keys

Hi to all.

So, I’m new to Cubase 13.

I have tried to work with the new and improved Key Command section, which looks amazing.

However, there is an issue here.

I open the window, I find the command I want to assign a key to, or set of keys, and eg, I want to create a command for the function of ‘Cut Head’.

So, for instance, I would like to add the keyboard keys C+H to this command. The minute I press ‘C’ the program cuts me off and tells me that ‘C’ is already assigned without giving me the opportunity to press the additional ‘H’ and for it to create the C+H command.

I tried to write it in the actual window but did not work.

Can you guys help? I can’t get my head around this.

Hi,
you can´t use combination of letters. Makes sense: if you assigned C to a specific command - how long should Cubase wait to make sure that you didn´t want to add another letter?
You can only assign cmd, shift and alt in combination with a letter. As a lot of keys are already assigned to a specific command per default in Cubase, here´s a little tip:
You can assign F1 - F12 in combination with cmd, shift or alt. Now you have 36 clean and unused combinations at your disposal.
