Hi,
What is the dialog box, please? Could you attach a screenshot?
So Cubase is working, but it freezes while close? Or what do you mean?

When I delete my preferences it works, but When I set my Xtouch midi and Mackie COntrol closes again
I did a test. Looks like my problem is related with something about the control room setup.
I have several plugins on my CR. Seems like when I put there its causing the problem.
I have Sonarworks Reference , Waves WLM, PAZ analizer and Supervision
When I take them off it work (still with the odd warning)
Hi,
Then probably one of the plug-in is crashing, when it sits inthe Control Room. Still no *.dmp file?
Still no Dmp. Is there a reason why cubase is not genearating dmp crash files on my system?
Hi,
Generate a DMP file and share it via Dropbox or a similar service, please.
Use the Microsoft ProcDump utility to generate a DMP file, please.
Please download ProcDump64 from Microsoft (~650kB) and extract the archive to a local folder on your hard disk.
Run Command Prompt (cmd) as administrator (right click and select “run as administrator”)
Navigate (in the Command Prompt) to the folder with the extracted procdump file.
For example:
cd C:\ Users \ \ Downloads \ Procdump
Note: the dmp file will be written into that folder.
Launch Cubase/Nuendo. You can work as usual. At any time, change to the command prompt and start procdump, to monitor Cubase/Nuendo for unexpected behaviour (see next step).
Launch procdump64 via Command Prompt:
Cubase 13:
procdump64 -e -h -t Cubase13
Nuendo 13:
procdump64 -e -h -t Nuendo13
The -h option will write a dmp file in case of an application hang. This might kick in too early sometimes, in case some action takes a little longer. Feel free to skip the “-h” option, if you are only up for fetching crashes.
The option -e will catch exceptions and the option -t terminations of the application.
ZIP and share the DMP file via Dropbox or a similar service, please.
If I did it right there you go
another one
These one I bigger maybe is better.
Hi,
If I understand you correctly, these crashes happened while Closing Cubase, right?
One crash is in the AutoAlignPost.vst3 plug-in. Make sure, it’s up to date, please. The other two crashes are in Cubase. Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
Hi
No, the opposite, while Initializing Cubase.
I will delete AutoAlignPost from my system, and try again and post a dmp.
I still have no clue what is that mysterious box with a warning sign on it, that pops out everytime.
Thank you and Johnny_Moneto
Waiting for some update.
For now Cubase 13 is unusable for me, because I can’t trust my work on a software behaving like this.
Hi,
Do the crashes happen also without 3rd party plug-ins?
Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable 3rd Party plug-ins], please?
Hi martin,
After I deleted AutoAlign and cubase now starts without closing like before, so now it’s usable! Thanks!
But, I still got an odd behavior at the start of any project, which is a box (a diferent one from that warning one), I’ll try to capture it on a dump file.
A project doenst complete opening until I click this box.
Hi,
Could you attach a screenshot of the box, please?
It is actually happening when starts and yet when closing Cubase 13 pro.
When I click the box works normal
I don’t think this is coming from Steinberg.
If you hover the mouse over the icon is there any info coming up? Or when you right-click it? What about opening the Windows Task Manager at that time, have a look in the Processes tab.
No info come out with the mouse or right click.
actually Cubase starts or closes right after I click with the right OR left mouse bottom
