I’ll be staying on Cubase 13 for the foreseeable future as I wait for the new score editor to catch up with the features I need. I’m finding that using midi remote on any controller causes massive instability on my system in v13.055 (silent crashes, cascading crash windows, etc).
I’ve switched everything back to generic remote, and that solves all the crashes, but I really miss the implementation of the pre-gain section of the channel strip (was never included in generic remote for some reason).
I was just wondering if there was consensus on a version of Cubase 13 that was considered stable using midi remote.
This can happen to all cb versions. Most of the time, there are small bugs in js scripts, not necessarily in active ones. A defected script can create these cascading windows even if not attached to a controller.
CB13.0.41 is the last version (I think) that didn’t suffer from custom midi ports setting, if again I remember correctly. However, more generally, I personally haven’t noticed any change in stability in latest versions.
No, it’s just that this was the last version that seemed to cause no issues with custom saved MIDI ports. Again, if I remember correctly, since I’m always with the latest version available (14.0.20).
