Cubase 13 Not Recognizing UAD Apollo, unresponsive

I can not connect UAD apollo Duo to Cubase 13 on Big Sur Macbook Pro 2015
It keeps telling me “Audio Hardware Removed”
when I go to Audio Connections Window, under Audio Device, I try to select Universal Audio Thunderbolt device, and it does not want to connect to it, it is unresponsive. “Audio Hardware Removed” window pops up every couple of seconds and dissapears in constant intervals. Please Help

I just tested on Mac Mini Ventura, and it works…
just trying to figure out why is UAD unresponsive and acting weird. Anyone came across this issue?

Hi,

Make sure Cubase has enabled Mic in the System Preferences, please.
Open macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone. Enable Cubase here.
