Getting a crash every time when opening Kontakt 7 in Cubase.
Referring to D3d11…
Hi,
Make sure, your Kontakt is up to date (same as all other NI components), please.
Try to install the d3d11.dll manually, or install relevant Microsoft Visual C ++ Redistributable, please.
Thanks for the suggestion,
But I figured out the solution for now:
In Kontakt (standalone) go in the file - Options - Engine
Change Multiprocessor to disabled, restart,
then open Kontakt up again, change it back to 16 cores. Now close.
Open in Cubase, and No more D3d11 crashing, even when opening up multiple instances.
I believe the advice is to configure multiprocessing in either Cubase or Kontakt, but not both.
In Cubase | Studio setup | Audio System:
… and in the Kontakt plug-in, File | Options:
You make a good point. I did not think of that. I will test this also, and just have it enabled in Cubase, and disable it in Kontakt.
Also, the standalone Kontakt can remain with multiprocessing enabled … the setting in the plug-in is seperate, and should have multiprocessing off.
OK thanks for that.
I believe the issue may be related to the Nvidia Overlay.
I have sent all dump files over to Manuel at Nvidia. for both Cubase and ableton.
I think it was just a fluke that the Multiprocessing worked a few times.
