Cubase 13 Pro - Import audio name problems [SOLVED]

Hi.

Suddenly (no update done) Cubase 13 Pro have started to add -01 on all imported audio files likes below:
Kick-01
Snare-01
Pad-01

I’m trying to find settings to change this but can’t.
Anyone that can help me?

EDIT:
While importing - in the pop up windows default is “Copy file to Project folder” which has been like this even before Cubase started to add -01. But if I untick that option, the import name will be default. Kick, Snare, Pad.

The thing is that the project folder is unique everytime and for this client I’m mixing for right now has a new folder as the project folder. So I don’t get what the problem is.

EDIT 2:
I now created a folder outside my clients folder and tried to import audio. Now it works.
But it’s wierd, cause Cubase 12 Pro don’t act like this. I just tried it since I have bort versions installed.

I produce music for client X

  1. The song is produced and I export all stem files to “STEMS” folder wihtin the same project.

  2. I start my mixing template and import all stem files

  3. All files will be renamed to -01 since I already have the files in the STEM folder. So I guess the solution in this case is to untick “Copy file to Project folder” since the files are already within client X folder.

Thanks.

Did you check you check your Audio Pool to see if you already have files in there with those names?

Yes, no files in the pool. But I just realized that from my production / song project I’ve exported all audio files to STEM folder within the production / song folder. Then I opened a new mixing project and saved that under the same production / song folder that has the STEM folder with all the files. Then when I import those files from STEM folder into mixing project, cubase automatically renames the files since the main production / song folder has those files already in the STEM folder. So I have to untick “Copy file to Project folder”.

EDIT: Basically I was stupid for a while.
