Cubase 13: Steinberg License Engine is Not Responding

Hi,

I recently bought myself Komplete 14 and as a result have a bunch of new VSTs on my computer. I also recently switched from ASIO4ALL to a MOTU audio interface. Everything was fine for a bit, but tonight my Steinberg Activation Manager stopped working and I can no longer get into Cubase OR Dorico. The error message I get is “Steinberg License Engine is Not Responding.” I’ve tried restarting to no avail. I have the diagnostic report zipped and ready to send

Found the issue! I just had to reinstall Steinberg Activation Manager and it worked like a charm.

I’m on Mac and just re-installed version 1.5 of SAM and still getting the error.
