Cubase 14.0.30 freezes on tempo change

Hi.
Has anyone experiencing this issue?
Every time I has a tempo change with notes sustained on that change (mostly Kontakt, Opus, VEP7) the sounds cut a little bit, freezes about 2 to 3 secs and after that the sound comes alive again.
It happens on rec too. If I want to record MIDI on that from the older tempo and follow recording to the new tempo, Cubase stops my Record, silence any sound and after that it continues to play and sound come back alive again. About 2 to 3 seconds too.

This make it impossible to record on that tempo changes in its’s very frustrating

I’m on Mac Mini m4 by the way with Sequoia 15.3.1

Yes!

This has been happening (at least) since version 13 on both my laptop (Intel CPU / Windows 10) and desktop (AMD CPU / Windows 11).

It’s very annoying.

Man, this is so frustrating, to the point that make me want to migrate all this project to another DAW. This is a so basic need in production, it just need to work.

I remember years ago I had this issue and it was caused by Kontakt. If I turned off midi sync in Kontakt all was fine again.

Also, turn off “asio guard” for VEP in the plugin managaer

Ah, a specific extension.
I was not aware that “Asio Guard” can be switched of per plugin.
What’s the pros and cons of that…?

Not sure, but for VEP it makes switching between tracks less glitchy…

The case is that in this particular song I was just using a lot of engines in Kontakt that needs the sync on
Now that I have some spare time and that particular project was delivered, I’ll try some tests with different buffer sizes and Multiprocessor config combinations with Kontakt and see if there’s some combination to solve this
About VEP, the Asio Guard it was turned off already for it.
