Cubase 14 Crash when Drag & Dropping Audio into Padshop 2

Hi, everyone :waving_hand:

I am experiencing a consistent crash in Cubase Pro 14.0.41 when trying to import audio into Padshop 2 via drag and drop.

What I do:

  1. I record a MIDI part and use “Render In Place” to create an audio event
  2. I open Padshop 2
  3. I attempt to drag and drop the rendered audio event from the Project Window directly into Padshop
  4. Cubase immediately crashes with the “A serious problem has occurred” error message

System Details:

  • Cubase Version: 14.0.41 (64 Bit)
  • Plugin Error: Padshop 2 (VST3)

Thanks to anyone who tries to help me! I really need it.

Hmmm… I don’t have C14 anymore. Tested it with C15 - no crash for me. Padshop V2.2.0
Is step 1 just any audio event or does it need to be created with Padshop?
