Some Vst Instruments don´t work with new installed Cubase 14
But they work with Cubase 12 and 13 in Program Files/common Files/VST3
Hi,
maybe you want to be a bit more specific?
Can you give examples, which plugins are affected? Cubase version? OS? Are you sure that these plugins previously resided in this folder - have you confirmed this in the Plugin Manager? Maybe these are VST2 plugins (activate VST2s in C14 in the Plugin Manager)?
Sooooo many questions…
I´m on Windows 11
I have AmpleSounds Guitars and the files are in both VST2 and VST3 versions
but they are working. Maybe I should delete the VST2 Plugins.
The great problem is Addictive Drums
They are in 3 versions (2 VST2 and 1 VST3) and different places.
But it works fine i Cubase 12 and 13 But NOT in 14 very strange
Maybe I try to delete Cubase 14 and try to install it again,
I think something happened in the end when I installed it before
Thanks for the additional info!
Now, I understand.
Deleting C14 is not the way to go.
All you got to do is to check the option enable VST2 in the Plugin Manager.
Addictive Dums comes with different options to be run if I remember correctly. I only use the VST3 version by now. But you can easily run the previous versions AD 1 & 2, right?) by enabling this button as I expected in the first place.
- Is the addictive drums vst3 file in the correct place (program files/common files/vst3)?
- If it is open the vst plugin manager and look in the blocklist, is it in there?
As Reco says you can also enable VST2 which you may need for backwards compatibility but it might be worth seeing if you can get vst3 version working going forwards as VST2 support will end completely at some point.
Thank you very much , now my Drums works
Yes to turn off VST2 in Plugin Manager worked.
Cubase 14 only likes Addicted Drums with VST3
