This isn’t a biggie for me since I have both Cubase and Logic Pro, although, I would like to know why Cubase Pro doesn’t yet have a stems splitter like in Logic Pro 11? I would really like the ability to isolate drums, vocals, bass, etc. from imported .wav files. Anyone have any idea when this feature will be implemented in Cubase Pro?
At this point I think that feature is reserved to be used with Spectralayers Pro. There is a free version of Spectralayers that comes with Cubase but to have separate stems, you need the paid version.
You can separate vocals and use it as stems with Spectralayers Go in Cubase. Other stem separation tasks are indeed reserved to the Spectralayers Pro version.
