Cubase 14 Pro - Groove Agent 5 - Modulation BUG

To recreate the bug:

  1. Assign LFO Modulator using the Learn button to affect the coarse pitch of a drum pad in Groove Agent 5. The drum pad is routed to a dedicated output on GA5.
  2. You get the orange error bar saying a connection can not be made. But, it does make the connection and starts affecting the parameter.
  3. Then you get loads of audio feedback, the UI freezes then it works fine.
  4. Then if you change parameters on the modulator you get more audio feedback, the UI freezes and then it’s OK again.

I would recommend to use Cubase factory settings.
Quit Cubase, rename the folder Cubase 14_64, restart Cubase.

Find the folder here:
Mac OS X

  • Go to “Your Username/Library/Preferences”
  • Please note: Since Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), the user’s Library folder is hidden! Here is how to access it: In the menu bar of Mac OS X click on “Go”. While the menu is folded out holding down the [ alt ] key (options) will show the “Library” entry.

Windows

  • Press the Windows logo key + R simultaneously to open the ‘Run’ command prompt.
  • In the command line of the ‘Run’ window, enter this path: %appdata%/Steinberg
