I’m trying to figure out how to change programs and banks for a Waldorf M from Cubase 14 Pro, and nothing seems to work. This feature in the Inspector works just fine with every other synth I own. The manual makes ‘references’ to MIDI Program changes. 1.07 firmware adds bank change “Implemented bank change (as Bank Change LSB = CC32)” I’m running 1.10. I was on 1.09, and updated, no improvements. I’ve even seen thread references elsewhere about being able to use program/bank changes. I’m used to bank change being ignored and having to write custom patch scripts, but that’s normally to get bank changes to work, not just simple program changes, which also does not seem to work. Suggestions on what I’m doing wrong?
The manual states that you need to send CC32 and a ProgChange? No CC0?
The easiest way is to do that in the List Editor. Open a midi part in the editor and create a controller event followed by a ProgChange event.
I’ve tried your suggestion, and I’ve tried with a patch script with
[p1,5,0,2] Program/MSB/LSB and it still remains on the same patch.
I did notice that Glob PC/BC Filter was set to on. I changed it to off, saved, and even rebooted, and checked to make sure it was set to off, same results.
For some reason, switching to Multi Mode, using patch/bank selection there, that worked, and now, magically, Program/Bank change works on Single mode. I literally changed nothing in my setup or on the Waldorf M. Suspect the Glob PC/BC filter, even though I changed it to Off didn’t actually ‘take’ until I went into Multi Mode.
