Cubase 14 Pro no output, not playing notes from Novation Launchkey Mk4 49

I just purchased a Novation Launchkey Mk4 49 key controller. I am having no luck at all getting the keyboard to play in CB 14 Pro. Also - I get zero output with any audio nor midi data playing. It seems as though all other functions are working - the pads, faders, rotary encoders, and control buttons all seem to do what they are supposed to do, but I get absolutely no response from the actual keys.
I ran Midi-Ox against the keyboard and I am getting input hits for Note On and Note Off in Midi Ox, but it does not make it to the input in CB. Could it be an incorrectly set clock issue? I am no Midi engineer, but playing with Midi-Ox makes it seem like that may be a possibility. Not sure what the correct settings s/b so I am hoping someone may point me clear.

Thanks All! - any help is most appreciated.

BTW - the controller works quite nicely with with several other DAWs I mess around with - Live, Reason, Studio One, etc. I am using a Presonus StudioLive 32SC as my mixer/sound card. My computer is a whitebox - many good hours on it. It has more than enough RAM (64 GB) and disk space. I am running Win11 Pro. Thx.

Hi,

Please, ensure, the MIDI Input port is not blocked by any Remote Device in Cubase. On the other hand, ensure the MIDI Port is enabled for the All Input MIDI Ports (which is most probably you MIDI/Instrument Track input).

I get no live midi instrument playback, but I can record the midi notes. I enable Record and Monitor on the track and when I actually record myself playing the keyboard I don’t hear anything, but CB records the midi notes and will playback through the instrument set on that track. I’m at a loss for how to hear the live playing.

OOH…I just got it to work!!!

I went to MIDI > Setup Editor Preferences > Midi > check the Midi Thru Active.

Now I can hear the instrument live as I play the MK2 live…yay! Hope this info can help.
