Cubase 14 score editor

It’s over a year later since Cubase 14 came out, and there are still bugs with the score editor that have not been fixed. So I thought I should document them one more time. I really like the concept of a score coming out of a midi representation, and it works pretty well, and I’ve created playable scores from the feature. So that’s really great. But here are the issues:

  1. When modulating keys, the software will decide to use different enharmonics within the same measure. So for example, a melody line with a Bb in it that turns into an A# within the same measure. I’ve mostly seen this in viola parts with the C-clef.
  2. Grace notes that don’t work within an 8va. Specifically when the grace note is the first note of the 8va section.
  3. Corrections to enharmonics don’t stick with the part. If I copy a part to a new instrument, I lose all of the corrections I already did in the original part, and I have to review the part I copied to see if I’ve got crazy enharmonics in the new part. This was happening between a cello part and a bass part.

Still, I managed to create a score that is being used for a public performance. So I just want to say again, I really like this feature.
