Cubase 15.0.20 Maintenance Update Available

Actually, I have just realized I have actually missed that this option for years! That’s weird.

Thank you so much for this update  , but the church organ haven’t yet its 3 staves to be performed aka the 3 staves option isn’t effective

Hi, for people who already updated, can we export low size videos for client review, or we still have to convert them afterward?

Yes, that’s possible now!

great! thinking about upgrading now just for that only! thanks!

EDIT: I was too weak, couldn´t wait for the 50% summer discount, and upgraded

Here’s the updated manual regarding video export

With all these new features included, Cubase 15 has become a much more solid update compared to its original release. If I had not updated Cubase already I would definetly do it now.

Good work, Steinberg!!

Here’s a great overview on the new Cubase 15.0.20 update by Chris Selim:

Chris also goes into more detail with regard to new automation features and doesn’t promote his online courses for over two looong minutes like Dom …

Cubase 15 is on sale right now, btw. For those thinking about updating, crossgrading etc to Cubase 15. Just a FYI.

Great update, like the obvious folder group combined and the folder collapse/expand in mixer, but there is a little one also added i wanted for years, to show the amount of delta change when editing automation manually, i wonder if another feature i wanted was implemented related to automation, a fine tuning of manual automation editing, so you could move the mouse normally, but the changes are minimal, as for example shift+moving fader moves it lightly

I think this still needs you to move the mouse to the Info Line → Value and perform the Shift-edit there.

He’s confusing the Right Zone as the Control Room? 0:40
And calling the Pattern Editor a pattern modulator must be a rather specific mindeset of an audio engineer, I guess. He is not wrong, in the end a keyboard of a synth is also just a modulator.

Yes, you are right. That’s definetly an oversight.

Anyone else noticing a considerable reduction in load on the CPU on Win11 with this latest update?Projects from CB12Pro used to play fine. Then I upgraded to CB14Pro then CB15Pro and couldn’t play those old projects due to overload and system dropouts all the time right up to 15.0.10.

Now with 15.0.20 they are playing perfectly again and with 40% spare headroom.

Good stuff today Steinberg, although you caused significant grief for the last period of my life. Hopefully this will not happen again.

[Edit] Later… just tried another heavy project and although the asio-guard indicator was maxing out for a considerable portion of the project, at no point did it redline. Something has definitely improved, at least here.

The new and improvedFolder tracks - do they functionally replace Group Tracks … is there any reason to even use Group Tracks anymore (Dom said something about nesting I didn’t understand).

I guess if one goes in the direction of using the new Folder tracks to replace group tracks, then the old templates that liberally used Group tracks would have to be replaced …

Don’t forget to update the comparison chart. Now 256 FX returns instead of just 64.

Just wow. Congrats to Steinberg. If I weren’t already in the process of transitioning to Linux, I’d be jumping for joy right now. However, I’m still happy for all you folks, Steinberg really rocks on C15!. Bravo! Now my hope is that they support Linux one day. :crossed_fingers: Cheers!

Just one thing… I love Steinberg!

Try this. (only if on Windows, not Mac)
1.) Reboot your PC
2) Press Win+r to open the Run box.
3) enter the following line in the box and press enter.
%userprofile%\appdata\Local\Temp
4) Delete the contents of the folder, but not the Temp folder itself.
5) Ignore any files that complain they can’t be deleted.

Reboot

Try the Cubase update again.

I’m having an issue with the Midi Transformer. It does not recall the settings from the prior version. Even if I type in new settings, save the project, and re-open it, the setting are not recalled, and the Transformers are all set to a default setting. Any ideas?

Although I’m glad to see group track functionality added to folder tracks, it really bums me out to loose the visual overview folder tracks gives, now replaced with an automation line.
