The Cubase 15.0.20 maintenance update is now available. It brings a wide range of new features, meaningful workflow improvements, and important fixes across many areas of the application.
I am SO HAPPY about the Group Track/Folder thing!!! Folders that pass audio and you can put Inserts on them just like a Group track!! And the FX Tracks go right in the Group Folder!!! The implementation appears to be perfect!! And I bet you this will fix all the weird glitches when comping multi-tracked drums with multiple takes.
I’m not going to take credit, but I think I made at least 5 or 6 posts over the years complaining about this very thing.
I can’t update, it says “Installation failed due to an unknown error.” Error 1612. This is the first time I’ve seen this. Am I the only one experiencing this?
@Matthias_Quellmann I’m assuming split to a new topic means, it getting discovered from Nuendo release didn’t leave enough of a time window to get it fixed in this update and is still issue?
Was inquiring because I have around 100 folders with 3-4 levels of sub-folders, so I’d have to skip this update if that’s the case.
I’m assuming that the convert channel features of Nuendo 15 stays exclusive to Nuendo then? Would be useful to know whether I should plan for a crossgrade.
Bug alert! I just installed this, and I’ve noticed that the MIDI Editor Background Color function is stuck on default & I can’t change it back to my usual preference. So far everything else is working fine, aside from that.
Thank you so much for this, very good update. Esp like the collapse groups thing in the Mixer.
Can we follow up with the ability to collapse in the project Zone, so as to enable subfolders (and sub sub folders) to be usueable in templates please?
Great update, thanks for the group folders Steinberg - prompted me to update to C15 pro today and get Groove agent 6 while I’m at it. Well thought through and implemented features = sales!
No, it’s not necessarily even a pure multichannel feature, it’s also super useful for stereo and mono alone already. Going from from two mono to stereo or from stereo to mono is a pain in the butt currently. And it’s standard practice in mixprep to consolidate track counts, like combining double tracked guitars into a stereo track, or converting stereo to mono where l/r content is identical etc.
Also, it’s not about whether workarounds exist. Obviously, they do. The point is that this can be super easy (look at Pro Tools) and it’s currently not. Even with the dialog it’s still not as good as the drag & drop way in Pro Tools.
Ah, okay, I see.
I see the benfit for multichannel operations; the tasks you mentioned above can easily be achieved in Cubase as well. However, not as convenient as it could be done via this Nuendo dialog feature, I get that
