Hi, I just updated and immediately found a bug. All of my Logical Editor presets that adjust velocity and CC are now broken.
An example is:
Type is Equal To Note
Value 2 | set to a fixed value | 100
The “+100” has now been changed to 0. This goes on for all my Logical presets. So I have presets that change the velocity value to 100, or 127 or 60 as well as presets that bump up various CC by +5 or -5. They now all say 0. This is affecting 20+ logical presets and I’ve only just started to dig into this.
I as well have had preset/key command issues in trying out Nuendo 15. Haven’t had time to figure it out, but can’t use it under present state; unhappily having to stick with 14. I very much hope that the Steinberg team will come up with some answers for us soon!
Okay, I rolled back to 15.0.10 and my logical editor presets are behaving as normal now.
For anyone that is curious, I deleted the Cubase 15 app from my applications folder and then found a download link on Steinberg’s website for 15.0.10 and installed that.
I found this bug within 30 seconds of upgrading. Really frustrating when these simple things don’t get caught during the testing phase.
Not just a Mac problem, I’m on Windows and having a similar issue. First noticed this while using the Midi Transformer. It’s resets everything to zero as described above. Also if I add new values, save and re-open the project, it doesn’t recall the saved values and defaults to zero.
No issues at all, too. Windows 11.
EDIT: My bad, I checked once again and this time I can confirm!
BTW: @rockdude9k “DON’T UPGRADE” in capital letters. Are we feeling a wee bit dramatic, today? Bugs suck, I totally get it, but it’s not like your system is about to explode any minute now!
Eh…normally I would agree with you. But this is a maintenance upgrade, and it broke for me what is a core functionally. If this was a new release, I would agree that there will always be bugs, but I stand by my dramatic flair, lol
Also, at the time I thought it rewrote all of my logical editor presets which would have cost me days of work to rebuild. If not weeks.
Is it a tad dramatic, sure. Did I have to uninstall Cubase, and roll back to a previous version.
Fair enough - your thread - your title. I still think it’s a tat dramatic but you do you, all good.
I checked once again with different presets - this time I can confirm. I have corrected my post above accordingly - this is definetly a bug!
Can you add the tag “issue”, please? This way, chances are much higher that Steinberg will take notice. Hopefully, they take care of it in the next update. This is not good…
thankfk I didn’t upgrade, because of another reason, but likewise, P/LE is the most important part of Cubase for me, it’s a shame it’s not developed and promoted more and is made easier to use.
if PLE is important to you, might be interested in this thread:
