we beg for a hotfix for this one, Steinberg. ty ![]()
I’m surprised more of the people in this thread aren’t adamant on classic P/LE behaviour preset/script loading via command?
I’m definitely not enjoying, at all, having to sift through/search the LE menu each time to load a particular script…
nearly all my LE scripts are in a macro I have bound to key commands that open the LE window first to load the preset without executing it so that I can enter values/parameters that are particular to the material at hand.
Did most the users here simply not know that this exists? and or, only got involved with P/LE when the new P/LE came to fruition?
Because coming from the old classic P/LE where I made most my scripts… the absence of this behaviour/protocol renders P/LE almost workflow-unusable. It’s an absolutely terrible degradation.
@Matthias_Quellmann is this not possible to fix with the new P/LE? It has been 4 years or so since the new P/LE.
This is not nearly as important to me as just fixing the CCs in LEs. This is a nice to have IMO. Please just fix the CC portion of the LEs in a hot fix, please Steinberg! Thank you.
not as important, but nearly as. Definitely a major degradation.
In 4 years, this degradation has probably caused weeks if not months of lost time if you added it all up…
I value the limited time in my life… the whole reason for P/LE was to make use of time… It’s nearly just as fast if not faster to just do the work manually than it is Open P/LE, remember how the script/preset variation is named which many times I can’t and if I do… find the variation I want based off the name, but if not then have to sift through the menu to find it…
crazy.
We all still waiting the hot fix! Steinberg, please! It’s really break workflow…
We hope to have a fix available next week. It’s currently being tested internally.
Great to hear, thanks.
Thanks and waiting!
Thank you! I was also about to go back to previous version but now that I see this, I will wait next week
any comment on classic P/LE open window command load script behaviour returning?
Thanks Steinberg!!! That’s the correct way.
Great! Thanks
Actually, we decided to release the update today
Please find it in the Steinberg Download Assistant and on the download pages.
We have released an update that resolves this issue:
Thanks! Fixed here with the Hotfix
yep mine’s fixed too.
Amazing!!! Thanks ![]()
you rock! thank you ![]()
Thanks for the speedy update, hope to see more of this communication and fast response with other things, especially the communication part, of which I know you know which I’m talking about as I’ve apparently over-indulged on bringing up… which is a good metric of my frustration level… which usually I end up feeling bad about some number of hours later.
all the best
