This is the second project in a row this happens to me.
Suddenly a software instrument (Serum 2) plays the midi lower pitch making it out of tune. When I then scroll back past that midi event and play it back once again it’s back to its correct pitch. If I have loop activated, going back further than that event it just keeps playing the midi in the wrong pitch. I need to hit paus and then start again for it to correct itself.
Both in this project and the last one the problem occurs for just a part of the track and concsequently for the same part of that track. Both times the part that was played in the wrong pitch was not at the beginning of the project but a bit into it, when I reach vers two. Serum 2 was used in both projects. Never happened with Serum 2 in Cubase 12.
In the last project the only solution I had to the problem was rendering that part as audio. And I had to do it two times since it the first time rendered it in the wrong pitch. So I had do as described above, playing it back once in the wrong pitch, scrolling back in the project past that point and then I could render it succesfully.
I don’t know what information to give to help recreating the problem or how to find that info. If anyone knows please inform me and I will happily post it.
Edit: I realized what’s happening. I pitched down the previos midi event on that same track and I didn’t have any pitch bend data registered on the clip playing back in the wrong pitch.
Request: It would be nice if a midi event by default had pitch data setting it to zero.
