So I upgraded to 15 a while ago - I admittedly NEVER had an issue with 14 but I was curious and wanted to be up to date with things.
I loaded a Kontakt 8 instance with 3 instruments, each on a different midi channel, just like I’ve been doing for years.
What a mess! Either there was no signal getting through to the instruments, or there was and just got lost after a while, and impossible to reestablish a signal flow. Or just 1 of the 3 would work, the 2 others just stopped working. This went on for 2 hours before I just quit and went back to Cubase 14.
What’s happening here? Is there a fix for this?
This has never happened to me in either Cubase 15 or Nuendo 15. Are you on Windows or Mac?
I’m on windows 10.
It gets worse. I reload the project andthings seem fine again. Then, some time after working on the project, ike 15-20 minutes in, things start to go haywire again. Suddenly, a volume curve in channel 4 affects channel 3 too, but not 1 and 2 - for no reason whatsoever, all settings correct, nothing changed… Then, when I play on the keyboard, midi tracks start to play on the other midi channels too, as if suddenly everything was set to omni. I go check the midi settings in Kontakt 8, and some instruments have set themselves back to omni, others not, but still receive on all channels. I reset the channels, and sometimes that helps, sometimes not.
It drives me absolutely nuts!
I’ve never ever seen this mess in Cubase 14. Not sure if it’s Kontakt 8 or Cubase 15 that messes tings up now.
