Hi everyone,
I’ve just finished my second song using Cubase 15 and Yamaha Vocaloid 6 for the vocals. The two programs work seamlessly together and there is an ARA bridge. Vocaloid is working well for me as a ‘substitute’ singer as my vocal abilities are not great and it gives me some idea of how my lyrics might sound in the finished song. I’m getting better at the phonetics, the Japanese Vocaloid users have it down to o fine art. I still can’t get the Vocaloid ‘singer’ to pronounce U as it CUT quiet right and the letter R is problematic for how we pronounce it in English. Apart from that, the program is not too shabby. If there are any other Vocaloid users on the forum please do get in touch.
At the moment I’m only using my own website to host my songs as I’m not sure I want to enter the world of Spotify etc just yet. I’d love to hear views from fellow forum users to see if I’m on the right track or how I might improve. Here is the link to the track on my website:

A passing thought - at the moment my songs are free to stream and download in MP3 or FLAC formats. How do people judge when their work is good enough to charge for downloads?
