Cubase 15 Hub showing dates in mm/dd/yyyy. How to change please?

Where can I change the date format please

Cubase uses the settings of the Operating System, e.g. in the Windows 11 settings under “Time & language > Date & time > Change date & time format” (or something similar, I don’t have Windows in english.

MacOS, no idea.

Thanks, but no it does not. My PC is set for real date formats so dd/mm/yyyy which is what I know and understand. I don’t want US format with nowhere to change it.

true, just tested on my Windows 11 laptop, even the build version on the screen splash shows it in the (wrong) American date system. Date format is fine on the OS, shows correctly everywhere else.

I suspect the build version is not a date, as such, but a bit of text from the build software. So maybe not too important that follows our preferred data formats. But the files in the hub and other tools, I think that should respect our settings.

Well, at least on my Win11, the hub respects the date format settings (be sure to change the “short” Date format):

Yeah…..same problem here. Checked absolutely every regional and date setting in Windows and dates are perfect everywhere else but in Cubase in the Hub, Pool wherever, it does not respect windows setting….at least for UK region and format.

And here on Windows 11 …

Are you guys all running your OS on English UK settings?

Yes…please confirm o/s and regional settings. If we can narrow this down to W11/UK then we can flag as a bug.

macOS 26.1 default settings show mm/dd/yy hh:mm format for me here in the US.

Month/day/year US style.

Windows 11 ..Time zone Spain GMT+1

Hmmn. So not only UK…. But works for Fese in whatever region he has set. Hopefully a few more people chip in and we can see if it’s across the board for certain regions or if works for some but not others.

If you’re on Windows 11, can you share how these are set up? This is in the settings app. Just search for “Region Settings” to get to the first page here. Click on “Date & time Format” to get to the second page.

Italian verions here, both Win 11 and Cubase. Hub date format is dd/mm/yyyy as expected.

This is me on Windows 11 Home Version 25H2 Build 26200.7171

And how the hub displays dates:

I believe mine are exactly the same as Manassas except I’m still on 24H2. Anyone with these UK settings that does have it working?

Out of curiosity, have you tried switching the short date format to something else? I am on german Windows and i have like four choices for the short date. Does that change the hub format?

(The example Windows uses for the short date is imho utterly stupid, because it is not unambiguous with regards to UK and US formatting. A date like “25/4/2025” would have been much more clear.)

Hi. No that makes no difference to what shows in the hub.

Thanks. Windows settings seem correct. If you haven’t already filed a bug with Steinberg, I suggest doing so, with the above information.
