Hi everyone,
I am currently facing a recurring issue after upgrading from Cubase 14 to Cubase 15.
Some of my older VST2 plugins (specifically TC-Works legacy plugins) are not being recognized in projects migrated from Cubase 14. They appear in the project slots as “!!!Plugin Name!!!” (missing plugin).
Here is what I have already verified:
-
The plugins are correctly installed, and they show up in the VST Plug-in Manager in Cubase 15.
-
I can successfully insert these plugins into new, blank projects in Cubase 15, which proves they are compatible and properly scanned.
-
I have already tried clearing the VST2 blacklist and rescaning the plugin paths.
-
I am using jBridge for these 32-bit to 64-bit plugins, and I have granted administrator privileges to Cubase 15 to ensure jBridge works correctly.
The issue is specifically that Cubase 15 fails to “map” or relink the plugins in existing projects created in version 14, even though the exact same files are available and working in the current version.
Is there a way to force Cubase 15 to recognize these plugins in older projects without having to manually replace every instance? It seems like a plugin ID mapping issue between versions.
Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
