Cubase 15 score editor - how to enter chromatic notes with mouse?

I just upgraded from Cubase 15 from 10.5 … in the Score Editor, when inputting notes it only lets me choose from notes in the current key signature. How do I get it to let me chromatically select from all twelve tones, without having to apply accidentals to notes I’ve already entered?

In other words, in the key of C major, it only lets me add C, D, E, F, G, A, and B as I move the mouse along the staff.

But I want to see the others (C#/Db, D#/Eb, F#/Gb, G#/Ab, A#/Bb) and be able to drop those in with a mouse click, instead of having to enter F and then apply a sharp (#) afterward to get to F#.

EDIT: I don’t really care about the enharmonic spellings, only the availability of all twelve tones when clicking.

This was both possible and the default in Cubase 10.5. Only being able to select from notes in the key signature, then modify them by applying accidentals afterward, seems like a step backwards.

Hmm, no idea. Where is that menu located? I’ve been trying to find it (and the only stuff to come up on Google is regarding VariAudio) but haven’t managed to so far.

Nevermind, I found it under the “Key Editor” (instead of one of the “Score Editor” sub-menus). It is not checked.

Aha! Holding “shift” down lets me select from the chromatic notes outside the key signature!

That is kind of an irritating extra step to have to do when inputting notes with the mouse, but at least it’s possible.
