There are too many posters in this forum that feel that they speak for everyone. “What we need is”.
“Bug fixes” Of course we all want a bug free Cubase including the Steinberg team.. My opinion is 14 has been the most solid ever. No real work stoppers. Early days but 15 no crashing. I feel Steinberg are getting on top of the bugs.
Yes I do want more and better stock plugins unlike others here. They work better within Cubase and cause less issues than many third party one. Improvements on GA very welcome, omnivoice needs improvement but a fun and useful addition. Modulators are powerful and easy to use..great addition in 14 and more in 15.
New content, samples and kits always welcome.
I’m very happy with the ever improving GUI .. please Steinberg don’t go back to dated GUI’s of yesteryear. I’m old but have no problems reading the text on a modern monitor.
There will always be stuff I never use (I’ve never opened the score editor) but I’m happy to have it available and understand how important it is for many.
Yes I totally understand this is my opinion and I certainly don’t speak for all.
I don’t think anyone is advocating for more features. What seems to be the consensus across one portion of the audience is 15 feels more like a version increase just to follow yearly release schedules and it should’ve been a point upgrade to 14 instead. People had a ton of beef with 14 and changes like the new UI being harder to read especially for people with visual impairments, issues with MIDI Remote scripting that haven’t been addressed since v12 and things like that.
Cubase is definitely shaping up to be an awesome all-in-one solution to quite literally everything you could need from a DAW… and I mean it honestly already is (if you have the Pro version at least)
From my time using Cubase I’ve honestly kinda hoped for more Stock VST’s but I also get why there are so few since they are just incorporated into HALion. (I personally still feel like the full version of HALion should’ve come with at least the Pro version of Cubase, but that’s my personal opinion so I don’t speak for everyone with that!)
I switched to Cubase after using FL Studio, and honestly I’ve never had Cubase crash on me… 14 is definitely the most stable Cubase has ever been, and it’s amazing. I definitely hope 15 continues with the amazing stability.
I also absolutely love the new UI changes they’ve made, especially on Windows. The UI more-so matches the designs of Windows 11 now, and it all feels more fluent and faster to read and understand what I’m looking at. I had some friends who were sad that they flattened down the UI for Groove Agent, but honestly I was happy with that change since it made it all easier to read.
I can understand why some people are a bit miffed about the upgrade from 14 to 15, but all-in-all it’s a substantial upgrade in my personal opinion. Adds a fair bit of new stuff and a lot of changes that warranted a new version be tacked onto it.
Yes I’m sure many users do welcome new features, I do… Looking at many of the user Cubase groups I’m reading of users enjoying the new stuff. Also it’s normal for happy users to not go to forums to say they are happy with their software choices, hence why we only hear the moans.

This is precisely where the problem lies: when you compose seriously, you need a serious music notation editor. Steinberg has been struggling for two years now to develop a decent editor, without seeming to be able to achieve it. I’ve been following this software since Cubase 2.0, and finally, I’m starting to see the end of this collaboration, because there are much better, free alternatives. (Musescore)
Please use english in your forum posts. A simple google translate will do just fine.
Steinberg offer a variety of ways to write Scores. The Score Editor in Cubase is one way, that makes certain use cases very easy and efficient. There are other cases where users a better off with Dorico. I’m confident your use case would be served well in one or the other. The Dorico forum is an excellent place to aks questions if you get stuck using that.
Cubase 15 has been very stable for me. The only issues I had were pulgin related and I updated them. Since that no issues.
14 became unstable mid year for me until I think the new update. The added stuff in 15 I also like and have been having a smooth creation process again since the upgrade.
There are a lot of creative goodies in Cubase that perhaps people have got used to. Taken for granted maybe? I came from Studio One so was very happy with all the extra helpful stuff.
