I’m working on a huge project in Cubase 15 on a laptop. I’ve been hitting full system crashes: black screens, red lines on the display, and audio freezes.
I suspect a faulty USB cable to the only audiosoundcard i have in this place right now - Focusrite 2i4 was the main trigger, but I’ve also made these changes to stabilize the system:
-Graphics Settings:Moved Cubase 15 from Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti to Integrated AMD Radeon (to avoid the red lines/driver conflicts).
-Power Plan: Hard disk to “Never” off; CPU to 100% min state.
-Pool: Disabled Musical Mode for tracks that already match the project BPM.
Question!:
Now that I’m replacing the cable, should I move Cubase back to the Nvidia GPU for my visual plugins, or is it safer to stay on the AMD chip to avoid DPC latency and the “red line” crashes I experienced?
