Cubase 16 Draging tracks are always on "Musical Mode" (Follow tempo) now

Hi Guys,

Even tracks without tempo information like a random MP3 is now opening in cubase 16 with the “Follow” option checked. I have to change them to “independent” all the time.

When I import those tracks in Cubase 15 it doesn’t activate the “Musical mode” since those tracks don’t have tempo information..

Can anyone reproduce that ?

I don’t follow your problem description. Tracks have no setting for Musical Mode (now Follow Tempo). Follow Tempo is a setting for an Audio file not a Track.

Tracks have a Timebase setting that can be set to Linear or Musical. This setting is separate and independent from Follow Tempo - although the 2 settings do interact.
