I’m using Cubase 4 on a mac, with a Focusrite Saffire interface. Lately I’ve been using a hardware synth, sending MIDI from Cubase and receiving the audio in Cubase. I noticed there’s a fair bit of latency, I’ve tried different buffer sizes but nothing seems to make it tight enough.
When playing with the Saffire settings I can preview the input (direct from the soundcard) and the latency isn’t half as bad! Is there some setting in Cubase? Or any way I can get around things, besides dragging the MIDI out of position?
