Cubase 5.1 32-bit no sound from Omnisphere 2 HELP

Hello everyone, so my friends father (70yo) does music on an old Windows 7 PC with x32-bit CPU and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM. Now on that PC he has Cubase 5.1 R1 VST 32 and a VST plugin called Omnisphere 2, and a driver called ASIO4ALL. Now the problem is every other plugin has sound but omnisphere doesn’t, he says it’s because on the side he can’t select omnisphere for the output while every other plugin works just fine (look at the picture). I have no clue what to look for here since I never heard about Cubase before now. Can anyone help ?

Omnisphere requires a 64 bit host. He can try downloading an old 32 bit version from his user account at spectrasonics.net. Realistically though, there is very little he’ll be able to do on that PC.

Hey thank you for youre reply but the Omnisphere is a 32 bit version thats what confuses me if it was 64 bit he wouldnt be able to install it in the first place

This software is 25 years old. I doubt if anyone here remembers it. I certainly don’t. And Windows 7 is 15 years old.
No one likes to hear this, including myself, but maybe it’s time to upgrade.

It would be great to be proven wrong!

Ye u are right but still he is 70 yo I already tried upgrading him he just refused and sticks to the win 7 PC soo yeah but thank you for ur response I hope someone will remember or something.

Ok, but let me put it this way: I wrote Omnisphere, so you can trust me when I say he won’t be able to do anything useful with Omnisphere running on that PC in that version of Cubase
