Im running a an imac i3 with cubase essential 5 and a focusrite saffire pro 24 dsp.
Ive been running a bass guitar into the line in on the saffire, which indicates a signal from the bass. Cubase displays an input signal from this instrument as well, only moments later ceases to show the signal.
Any ideas as to what is causing this erratic behaviour? It was working fine until recently.
I have noticed that the power light on the saffire does not stay on when the imac is switched off or asleep, whereas it stays on when plugged into my macbook pro (3yrs old).
