Cubase 5 - Using Automation from beginning of note.

I have a question about automation. Is there a mode where the automation will look at the beginning of a note and keep the automation at that level until the next midi note?

I wanted to create “jumping” filter/automation effects, and it would be easier/more convenient if this was a possibility.

I looked through the preferences and checked the documentation on options I wasn’t sure of, but was unable to find anything like this.

I don’t know, what parameter do you want to automate. And I don’t think, this would be possible for the automation. But it would be possible for MIDI data. You could make this via Logical Editor.
