Already found another topic about installing Cubase 6 on a MacOS 10.11 (El Capitan) running new Mac machine, which would have some compatibility issues. In my situation, my Mac is still running 10.9 (Mavericks) and prompting for updates these days… So I’m quite forced to update to 10.11 now. But… I’m still using Cubase 6, so it is already installed and backupped with TimeMachine.
My question is: if I would update my Mac to OS 10.11 and import the TimeMachine backup (incl Cubase and all stuff) back to the new Mac OS installation, may I expect any trouble?
(Actually, the only reason not to be uptodate with the latest Mac OS, is in fact that I’m still working with Cubase 6 and at this point I unfortunately can’t effort upgrading to the latest Cubase version.)
I hope you guys can help me out here.
