I understand copying the entire project to my second machine to take it with me but? On my main DAW setup I have the audio inputs setup for it’s hardware and I want to put the project on my laptop and take it with me to play with the mix etc… Of course my issue are the errors of having different audio hardware inputs. How can i get around this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I usually just remap the connections if it doesn’t work.
I usually just skip that window - especially if only mixing cause the inputs aren’t going to be used.
I though that Steinberg’s theory was that if you gave them the same names at the hardware level (hmm, I’m not in front of my DAW, would that be in the hardware preferences window?) then they would map automatically without complaint… Not tried it myself tho.
