Cubase 6 will not open

I have cubase 6 in 32 and 64 bit with a UR824 interface. Cubase will not open. The first time it made it to “asio setup ys driver extension”.
Now it will not open at all.

Well this is not a general problem and I have never heard of this before.
First of all follow the "Resetting-The-Preferences-Of-The-Sequencer link in my signature and go through that procedure. If this does not solve the problem check out the following paths.

Since it hangs on “asio setup ys driver extension” it is likely that something is not right with the extensions.

Go to “C:\Programmfiles (x86)\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components”.
Which files do you have in there?

I would suggest to completely remove the driver in the device manager and also the extensions in the given locations. After this execute the latest UR Tools again. Download them from here:

I’m having the same issue… and deleting the driver does not help

it only opens with the UR824 turned off
