Cubase 7.0.7 x64 on W7Prox64 froze, how do I save?

Why is Cubase 7.0.7 x64 on W7Prox64 freezing and how do I save my work?

I don’t want to force quit without saving… :imp: No choice, right? It’s maddening. I know the latest changes after the last auto-save are somewhere but they will probably be toast when I save.

Based on the Windows Event log error below, I’ve disabled Bonjour Service. What does smtrot do? Is it part of Cubase? Nothing matches that in my registry, hard drive, installed programs or on my local network. If my WiFi goes out, does Cubase crash because it is constantly checking licensing?

Log Name: Application

Hello,

Cubase doesn’t check the license online.
You only need the internet connection once, to download the license into your USB-eLicenser.
Actually, we recommend to work offline, you probably need to optimize your computer please read the following article: Optimizing Windows for DAWs

Also, this is not a proper Issue report, so I am moving your thread to the general forum.

Best regards,
