Cubase 7 crashes along with explorer

This was helpful to me for another issue. I had problems with the hub so I disabled it in preferences. But I do like the project assistant. So with the hubsevice.dll gone and hub on in preferences, I now get the project assistant when starting up. Cheers

How does one remove only the hub on a Mac, yet retain the Project Assistant? Disabling the hub in Preferences was necessary on my machine, but it took the PA with it.

Best note that I’m on a Mac. There are no .dll files on Macs.

On mac dll’s are .bundles– they’re in the Cubase app package in the Components folder.

/Applications/Cubase 7/Components/

I don´t know exactly since I am indeed on PC, but look for something called hubsevice…or similar in the cubase installation folder, just not dll ofcourse and rename it.

I’ve always found that it’s most helpful when answering a question to provide a detailed path description, so for Mac users, the route is: Macintosh HD > Applications > Cubase 7.app. Right click and choose “Show Package Contents” then Contents > Components > hubservice.bundle. Hope that helps others. Cheers.
