hi
the last days i face a strange problem.
i cannot open cubase 32bit (7.5xx and 8.xx latest versions)
I have not the same problem with cubase 7.5xx and 8.xx 64bit versions
i unistalled 32bit versions but…no luck.I also deleted the preferences and i still have this problem
i also get very often the message ‘‘video engine decode has stopped working’’
i tried different versions of drivers for my vga card.I also updated quicktime. Finally i unistalled quicktime and installed quicktime alternative.no luck.
when cubase tries to initialize vst mixer i get this error message: ‘cubase 7 has stopped working’’ (the same message with cubase 8)

hi…thanks for your reply
i ve already updated the quicktime but nothing changed.Do you think that both error message have in common the video decode engine?what do you mean that i reached the 32bit limitation?
In any 32-bit application you can use only 2, or 3GB of RAM as maximum. If you reach this, the application could becomes unstable, or crashes.
I would say, the video engine is somehow linked with the Quick Time. Cubase is using Quick Time engine to display the video. The crash is also on the videocode side. So…
So, your Quick Time is up-to-date, your graphic card driver is up-to-date, right? Do you have any other video software installed, which could affects the behaviour? Can you load and playback a video files in Cubase?
Could you send me the whole crashdump file (Cubase 8) as a Private Message, please?
i guess that i don’t have any other video software…i ll investigate it later today…
I nned 32bit version cause some older projects which use specific plugins are 32bit and sometimes i need to work in 32bit cubase cause i neeed to have compatibility with people who use 32bit.
i ll check also later if i can play a video in cubase.
how can i find the whole crashdump file?why you ask me only for cubase 8?
thanks!
hello!thanks for your response and…sorry for the delayed answer~!
I was under big pressure the last month! (fortunately cubase 64 bit work …)
I was able to play video in cubase but…only mpeg-4.(with some problems.it wasn’t a non stop play…)
Not avi.
I also realised that in deviced–>video player the only availiable device is the ‘‘onsceen window’’…is it normal?
i upload an image
**Martin Jirsak…i sent you the files you asked for!
which files are permitted for uploading here?i couldn’t upload text-log-zip-rar
