The icons appear randomly as washed-out grey or black when they should be white. Mousing over the menu items causes them to change color too.
I’m sure the developers are aware, but there is a simple way to prepare the graphics assets to be dark menubar color-inverted easily (same method to get status item icons to invert dynamically). (I know this because I’ve coded OS X apps before.
