Cubase 8.5.20 Issues importing and processing audio...

Hey guys. When importing files without any processing things work well. However if I import a file and process it by conversions the files playback with white noise and other artifacts randomly throughout the tracks. The same thing happens when I do any processing to a track. I have recently installed Windows 10 and updated to 8.5. Did I miss a setting somewhere or is this an issue?

If anyone has any ideas on why the audio tracks get white noise and other annoying sounds in them after processing I would love to understand the cause. For now I have uninstalled 8.5 and 8.0 works great. I haven’t tried reinstalling 8.5 since I am working on projects now. It’s kind of a drag paying for the upgrade and I can’t use it…
