Cubase 8 Graphic Performance

Hi,

I encounter great graphic performance issues when I use Cubase 8. For example, if I open a plugin while on the mixer window, all the meters starts to stutter, and any meters in the plugin look like it only has 1FPS.
I am running OS X 10.10.4, 4GHz Intel Core i7, 32GB Memory with NVIDIA GTX 970GTX, so I am guessing that the “non-standard” hardware is causing the issues. Anyone encountered something similar or have any tips?

This problem only occurs when i have a plugin open, everything works fine otherwise.

Thanks.

Maybe a bit more info would help us help…

What is the plugin? Does the problem occur only with this plugin? Is it 32 or a 64 bit install? Is CB a 32 or 64 bit install? Is this something new? Anything else you can report might help us assist.

I actually managed to fix it!
It happened to any plugin with a meter or moving graphics of any kind. It was a 64bit installation (why else would i buy 32GB of Ram…)

The solution was to switch from HDMI to Display port (Weird, i know), now everything works fine

Glad you shared your fix.
