Cubase 8 - NOT working at all just installed

hello,
I already have installed Cubase 6 and Cubase 7.5 using it for a while now…
Today i got an offer to buy Cubase 8 and i thought the price was good so I did…

I have installed… I have opened the Elicenser upgraded restarted…

Cubase 7.5 is working… Cubase 8 will NOT start at ALL…

any ideas why?

I would suggest contacting your local support to verify your license. Also, be sure to install the latest eLCC from http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html

What is the last thing you see Initializing when you start Cubase Pro 8?

Hello my friend.
I don’t see anything because Cubase 8 will not start at ALL… when I click the icon… “windows” will ask me IF I allow it… like all other programs… (it is one of my settings) and than Cubase8 will stop…

I will look now to see if there is a new ELCC… it is not the first time i am having issues with downloaded updates

UPDATE:

I have uninstalled Cubase 7.5 - reinstalled from Original CD - Cubase 7.5 is working

I have upgraded to Cubase 8 - i have downloaded the latest ELLC - ELicencer Control Center 6.9.1.1171 – June 2015

Cubase 8 - will NOT start… still …

UPDATE 2:

I have managed to actually talk through the phone for the first time in many years with someone at Steinberg…

So, a nice guy told me after i have described everything:

  • Cubase will need at least the Service pack 1 on WIn7 + other win7 updates in order for Cubase 8 to open even… I am now waiting to download updates / restart and try again… I will come back with details.

this service pack 1 for windows solved my problem…

I know see a option problem in Cubase 8 I will make anew thread :slight_smile:
