Cubase 9.5 and templates

Hi,

How do I transfer my templates from Cubase 9 to 9.5 ?

Thanks
Darren

Hi,

The template projects should be overtaken with the preferences automatically from Cubase 9 to Cubase 9.5.

If this haven’t happened, copy the Preferences > Cubase 9 > Project Templates folder to the Preferences > Cubase 9.5 folder, please.

Will version 9 templates work okay wit 9.5 ?

Do they have the same internal mark-up structure?

Yes, they work just fine.

You may want to re-save them once copied across to take account of, for example the extra inserts slots (and movable last pre-slot).

I always recommend that in addition to saving a Template as a Template also save it as a regular Cubase Project .cpr file. That way if something ever goes wrong it’s pretty easy to re-make the Template.

So this may relate to my issue. Sorry to jack your thread dman but I am really confused myself.

Please read.

I can’t seem to get the extra insert slots from a project I create from these templates, even after re-saving.

Hi,

You should get 16 Insert slots in any project (template) open in Cubase 9.5.

I’ve attached a screen shot of what I get.

Hi,

Do you have all slots shown? By default only used (+1) slots are shown.

Yes. This is only happening from projects I create from Cubase 9 templates.

Burt as Martins says, it will only show slots used +1 in that view. If you fill up all those shown you should see more.

Hi,

I tried that but it does not show any further slots once those are filled.

Is there a setting of some sort I’ve missed?
