Cubase 9.5 Crashes using Yamaha Motif VST instrument is there a fix for this?

It also crashes Sampletank 3 indentically.

Where would i find the crash log?

Sorry, I don’t know, what is the latest version.

On Windows the crashlog is in Documents/Steinberg/crashdumps.
On Mac in the macOS Console utility.

If you are using the XS, the latest version would be v1.6.4:
