Cubase 9.5 MIDI System freeze at Initialization screen? Need help

Longtime Cubase user - today, very randomly Cubase began locking up on the initialize screen always at ‘MIDI System.’

I deleted the preferences, I restarted the computer several times - I have absolutely no idea what caused this? Everything was working fine beforehand.

I am on a MAC and what I also noticed is the MIDI window in Audio MIDI setup won’t open - that freezes as well - no idea why.

Cubase in Safe mode does not work for me - tried several times at splash screen, beforehand, etc. No luck.

Hi,

From this, I would expect, the issue is not on Cubase side at all. Try to use Google and search how to reset the MIDI Ports on your macOS version. You will probably find some Terminal command.
