Cubase AI 5 and CI2 Audio Interface problems

Hi

I’m struggling to get my CI2 Audio interface to work with Cubase AI 5 on my new computer.

The Cubase AI 5 software works with the inbuilt ASIO DirectX Full Duplex & Generic Low Latency ASIO Drivers, but does not work when I connect the CI2 and use the Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO driver. The USB light and the AI Ready light on the CI2 are lit ok, but I don’t get any output signal on Playback or any audio input signal on Record when using a Shure PG58 microphone I have the VST Audio system switched to the Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO driver and have got the VST Connections (both Input and Output) set to Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO (Steinberg CI2 – 1 & 2 for stereo; Steinberg CI2 – 1 for mono).

The computer is an Advent PC with Windows 7;
Processor is an Intel Core i3 3.20 GHz
Operating system is 64 bit;
with 4GB memory
1000 GB of hard disc

I’m now at a loss to figure out what to try next.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

The only thing I can suggest is that you remove the Yamaha ASIO driver from your system and re-install it.

Thanks - yes I tried that & still no joy (thanks for the suggestion though).
Cheers,
R

Did you apply all updates for all concerned apps? Did you check the C12 forum at the old site?

Hi. Thanks for your feedback - have made sure I 've applied all the updates & still no luck.
What is the old site ? - I don’t think I know that one.
Thks, R

Are you using the 64-bit Tools for CI2 ?
