cubase ai 9.5 installer problem

I purchased an THR5A Yamaha and downlodaded Cubase LE AI elements 9.5 installer to install Cubase AI 9 on my PC

WIN 8.1 Pro 64bit / 8Gb RAM

elicenser version 6.10.7.6225

There are 2 options when launching “start installation”
but with both of them the installer quit :frowning:

Option 1 YES, LOOK FOR UPDATES :
it starts looking for updates after a few seconds a first window display an error :
“steinberg installation Updated stopped working” then a second window displays an error message : “setup stopped working”
All I can do then is hit “close the program” button then installer quit


Option 2 NO, INSTALL SOFTWARE FROM LOCAL SOURCE
the installer quit immediately

Please make sure that your Windows 8.1 is fully updated using Windows Update.

You might be using oversensitive security software. If you installed some kind of antivirus or firewall, try temporarily disabling it.

Also try extracting the installer to a different folder. Try C:\ .
