Cubase AI - cannot find license for activation after Windows reinstall

Dear forum folks,

I am having trouble activating Cubase AI again after reinstalling my system. It seems the license is only tied to hardware and is nowhere to be found in eLicenser/Soft-e/Activation Manager, literally nowhere. I only see it on MySteinberg page as a “Hardware” lol. When I try entering the download codes again to generate activation code, it says it is already used ofc.

Please help.

Milos

Ok, I just found a way to do so. But my license is kept to AI 11 version. How do I transfer soft e license to Activation Manager, or , upgrade to AI 14 ? Cause I want to upgrade to Elements and use the discount and be done with this lol.

Hi Milos,

as far as I understand it:
You can get a free update for AI 14 - please contact your local Steinberg support which should provide you with an updated license. Afterwards, you can upgrade to Cubase Elements 14 for 34,99€.

Good luck!

I’ve opened up a request from MySteinberg profile asking for the code so I can upgrade.
I hope that’s the way to do it, someone should answer…

Tnx !

Hi Milos,

I almost forgot - there might be a short cut to get your updated license in no time!

Just ask Matthias nicely if he could update your license in this thread:

This way, you will probably have your license by the end of next week - please let me know if this worked!

Happy Easter Days

Nice ! Will try !

Thank you very much, and happy holidays to you to mate !
