hi again, i forgot to mention that i am very eager to install the software, but don’t want to do so if i am not allowed to install it on both computers (mac mini 2009 (2.0 Ghz) macbook pro 15" 2009 (2.8 Ghz)–both running on os 10.10.5- both with 4 gb ram) because i will have to decide which one to use for my music-making.

You can install it on both. If you are OK to use it on one of them only, then you can stay with the Soft-eLicenser. If you want to use it on both computers, buy USB-eLicenser and transfer your license to it. Where is the USB-eLicenser plugged in, you can start your Cubase.
